Textile Eye Sees Us All

We were thrilled to have The Textile Eye @thetextileeye visit the Studio this summer with their innumerable questions and excitement about our fabric collections. Their enthusiasm was only matched by their acumen to understand the little intricacies of the studio and how we achieve certain effects through hand printing and painting on our luscious fabric grounds. Whether it was by a hand hewn woodblock, a paint sprayer, or hand painting directly on fabric, we we on our toes describing what we were doing and why. I'm thinking, "they get that this is a lost art. And they get that this is an evolving art as well!"

They are appreciating textiles as important as currency and culture and communication. Of course I felt in good company and wanted to share my secrets of techniques that I have been honing and experimenting with for 20 years now.

We are so thrilled to be included in this 3rd edition of this incredible review and insight with such legendary and incredible artisans. It is a thrill for me to be seen in this light. Thanks to Saana Baker and Robyn Wilson for their beautiful work shown here.
